CripTales: Audition

Crip Tales is a new series of short monologue films that challenge perceptions of living with a disability.

Curated by Mat Fraser (pictured), and written and performed by disabled artists and actors, the films are in turn funny, poignant and unflinching in their portrayal of being disabled in Britain today.

Episode one: Audition
Mat sits in the waiting room before an audition, dreading how it will be. He relives some of his best and worst moments in auditions, and takes us back to his childhood where he unlocks the reasons for his fears, before finding the way to triumph... or does he?

CripTales: Audition is written and performed by Mat Fraser, the director is Ewan Marshall and the executive director is Debbie Christie.
