Ep. 8/8 -

Yuto’s (Yosuke Kubozuka) plans to return to Tokyo are derailed when he receives a call from Jiro (Yoshiki Minato) - he has Taki (Aoi Okuyama) and they’re going to throw her off a rooftop unless Yuto hands himself in.

Kenzo (Takehiro Hira) and Yuto race to save her, but Kenzo is confronted by a vengeful Abbot (Charlie Creed-Miles) who is still out for Yuto’s head. They make a deal and Abbot accompanies Kenzo to the rooftop.

However, when Sarah (Kelly Macdonald) see Abbot strong-arming Kenzo into a car her suspicions are roused, and she decides to tail them. Once everyone eventually reaches the rooftop, they find themselves in a stand-off - until Taki, in a heartfelt outpouring of grief, highlights the lies and faults in everyone around her and confesses her own insecurities.

After an almost magical moment of self-reflection, it is time for Yuto to act - but will he become the killer his brother tried so desperately to save him from, or will he sacrifice his freedom for the good of his family?

Meanwhile, having made it to Natsuko’s (Mitsuko Oka) family home in the country, Eiko (Anna Sawai), Natsuko and Rei (Yuko Nakamora) are apprehended by Fukuhara’s (Masahiro Motoki) men. Before they’re attacked, a flurry of bullets fells their assailants - and standing in the smoke is an unexpected saviour who could either be friend or foe.

At the yakuza peace meeting, Shin Endo (Kobayashi Katsuya) forces Fukuhara to atone for Saburo’s (Masaya Mimura) murder. Fukuhara complies, cutting off two fingers - but it soon becomes apparent that this isn’t enough: Shin Endo’s thirst for revenge is unquenchable.
