Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Middlesbrough

Radio 1’s Big Weekend 2019 gets underway with a host of incredible artists performing live from Stewart Park in Middlesbrough.
The station’s annual live music event will see a stellar line-up of artists, including headliner Miley Cyrus, Stormzy, Foals, Bring Me The Horizon, Mumford and Sons, Billie Eilish and more, perform across one of the event’s three stages - the Main Stage, The 1 For New Music and the BBC Music Introducing Stage.
A host of Radio 1 DJs will be bringing listeners all the action from Middlesbrough from 11am. Tune in throughout the day to hear live performances, musical highlights and exclusive artist interviews:

As well as listening live or on demand on Radio 1 and BBC Sounds, all performances will be available to watch live or on demand on Radio 1’s iPlayer channel (bbc.co.uk/tv/radio1).
Now in its 16th year, Radio 1’s Big Weekend kicks off the UK’s festival season, as well as taking artists to the cities that may not otherwise host a large scale event like Big Weekend, shining a light on the host city and providing a major boost to the local economy.
