Earth From Space

Ep. 2/4 -

In the second programme cameras in space reveal the stories behind some of Earth’s most remarkable patterns and shapes.

In South Australia the outback is speckled with mysterious light spots interlinked with narrow trails. They are networks of burrows dug by the hairy nosed wombat.

A clearing in the endless green canopy of the Congo rainforest has been created by an incredible elephant gathering; the twists and turns of the Amazon make a home for rehabilitated manatees; and during the wet season in Brazil fresh water lagoons appear between the sand dunes.
