Glow Up: Britain's Next Make-Up Star

In this brand new series for BBC Three hosted by Stacey Dooley, ten aspiring make-up artists (MUAs) battle it out to be named Britain’s next make-up star and to win a contract assisting some of the world’s top make-up artists.

Joining Stacey as the series’ judges are industry legends Val Garland and Dominic Skinner, who alongside a different guest judge each week will decide who glows and who goes.

Each week, the contestants will be set one real-world professional assignment, as well as a themed creative task at the Glow Up HQ. The two MUAs who fail to impress the judges will then enter the elimination face-off - a make-up skill drill under intense time pressure - with only one returning to the competition.

In episode one, the MUAs face their first professional assignment, a beauty editorial shoot based around the idea of ‘rebellion’, as well as their first themed challenge in which they must create a look showing what beauty means to them.

This week’s guest judge is Lisa Oxenham, the Beauty and Style Director for Marie Claire.
