BBC Proms 2018 Prom 39 - West Side Story

Live at the BBC Proms from the Royal Albert Hall: the John Wilson Orchestra performs a concert performance of Bernstein’s West Side Story, with a starry line-up of soloists and students from leading theatre schools, conducted by John Wilson.

West Side Story tells of the trials of the ill-fated lovers Tony and Maria as they attempt to resolve the deep-rooted animosity between two warring communities on Manhattan's Upper West Side. This rare performance of the theatre score features a top-flight cast, joined by an ensemble of students from leading London theatre schools.
