Comedy Club: The BBC New Comedy Award 2018
Ep. 1/8 -

It’s that funny time of year again when the search for comic talent returns with The BBC New Comedy Award.
The 2017 victor, London-based Australian Heidi Regan, has been gigging since winning and is working-up her show, Heidi vs Sharks, for this year’s Edinburgh Fringe.
The first three heats for this year’s award will take place at the Up the Creek Comedy Club in Greenwich, London. There will also be heats at The Comedy Store in Manchester and The Glee Club, Cardiff.
The semis and final, hosted by Mark Watson, will take place at the Edinburgh Fringe in early August. The six finalists will perform in front of an expert panel of judges comprised of comedians and Radio 4’s Commissioning Editor for Comedy, Sioned Wiliam.
Made for BBC Radio 4 Extra.
