CBeebies Bedtime Stories

Singer-songwriter George Ezra lends his dulcet tones to a CBeebies Bedtime Story that is sure to help little ones get a peaceful night’s sleep.

George reads Here Comes The Sun by Karl Newson and illustrated by Migy Blanco about a little owl on a magical, shooting star filled journey.

While all the other animals sleep through the night, Little Owl has work to do. From Africa to Antarctica, she flies round the world and, one by one, puffs out the stars so that the sun can wake up all the animals.

But wait - a shooting star! Little Owl follows it across jungles and deserts until she finally catches up with it just before the sun rises.

George says: “It was an absolute honour and a pleasure to be invited to read a CBeebies Bedtime Story and follow in the comfy-slippered footsteps of all the greats that have gone before me. I’m too young to have watched Jackanory as a kid and arguably too old to watch CBeebies now, but I’ve not let that stop me. All my friends with kids are mad for the show, so now, in their eyes, I’ve finally made it. This is right up there with Glastonbury, the Live Lounge and the Graham Norton Show.”

George follows in the footsteps of a stellar list of celebrities to have read a CBeebies Bedtime Story including Suranne Jones, Tom Hardy, Dolly Parton, US actor Chris Evans, Jessica Ennis-Hill, Guy Garvey, David Tennant, Damian Lewis , Tim Peake and, more recently, Sir Elton John.
