This time 12 months ago it was Serena Williams who was the star of the Centre Court show - claiming her 22nd Grand Slam title by easily seeing off Germany’s Angelique Kerber.

Williams’ 7-5, 6-3 victory saw her match Steffi Graf's Grand Slam total, while also claiming a seventh Wimbledon title in the process.
