The Queen’s 90th Birthday: Trooping The Colour

Huw Edwards presents coverage of the traditional display of pageantry for The Queen's Birthday Parade – more commonly referred to as Trooping the Colour – which is held on Horse Guards Parade.

Her Majesty The Queen and HRH the Duke of Edinburgh will make their way from Buckingham Palace in the Royal Carriage Procession along The Mall, to the delight of the watching crowds, to the Parade Square where this military spectacle will take place. The morning’s events culminate with the annual appearance of The Queen and other members of the Royal Family on the balcony of Buckingham Palace for the famous flypast by the Royal Air Force.

Highlights will be shown on BBC Two, 6pm to 7.30pm.
