Local people are being invited to have their say on regional TV specials on the EU referendum across the UK on 12 June.
All of the BBC’s regional news programmes will screen the specials, which will examine precisely how the critical issues are likely to impact at street level in their part of the country.
The audiences will be made up of local people from all walks of life, who will be invited to fire questions at a panel of key regional figures who feel vehemently about either leaving or remaining in the EU.
Details of panels and venues will be confirmed at a later date and will be available on regional news websites.
BBC English Regions Politics Editor Jason Dean says: “In providing this truly local perspective, these debates will complement the BBC’s wider referendum coverage and enable people to really understand what difference their vote could make in their own neighbourhood.”
