Billionaire Boy
Ep. 1/1 -

Following the success of Christmas TV offerings The Boy In The Dress, Gangsta Granny and Mr Stink, BBC One is once again giving families a festive fun treat with the fourth adaptation of a David Walliams novel, Billionaire Boy.
Billionaire Boy is the story of Joe Spud, whose factory-worker father Len makes billions from inventing new toilet roll ‘Bumfresh’ which is moist on one side and dry on the other.
Len quickly sets about spending his money, buying a huge mansion, sending Joe to a private school and hiring a celebrity butler in the form of Warwick Davis.
But Joe hates his new school and it’s soon apparent that all he really wants is a friend. When Len begins to take more interest in his gold-digging girlfriend Sapphire, his and Joe’s relationship is thrown off track.
Joe enlists the help of his butler to transfer to the local comprehensive school where he soon makes a friend - Bob. But when Len arrives in a helicopter to ‘drop off’ his son’s forgotten homework, Joe’s secret wealth is revealed. Things soon begin to unravel - but will Len realise the error of his ways in time?
Cast: Len - John Thomson, Sapphire - Catherine Tate. Headteacher Mr Darrow – James Fleet, Miss Sharp - Rebecca Front, Celebrity butler Warwick Davis – as himself, Mrs Trafe the dinner lady – David Walliams and Elliot Sprakes – Joe.
