DIY SOS: Homes for Veterans

Nick Knowles and the DIY SOS team are back for a two-part special with their most ambitious build ever: regenerating a run-down street for a community in Manchester.

The team is taking on an entire street in Manchester, turning run-down empty properties into homes for veterans and building a support centre. In their biggest build yet they will create a home for a veteran blown up on an IED in Afghanistan, who is a triple amputee.

The team is also redoing the fronts of all the houses in the street and putting in new utilities, as well as building a support centre to help other veterans and get them into homes and jobs - with a legacy lasting well beyond the show. But with late nights and delays, it's looking like the team might not meet their own deadlines.
