As part of 6 Music Celebrates South America, Steve Lamacq kicks off his Football Anthems World Cup today with the first round draw.

All week Steve will be looking at 16 of the biggest songs associated with football and pitting them against each other until one is crowned the 6 Music listeners’ champion on Friday. New Order, Fog on the Tyne and Three Lions all feature, with the discerning listeners giving their opinions on which is their ultimate anthem. Football players past and present will also be giving their opinions on their favourite tracks throughout the week too.
