Alison Goldfrapp

Alison Goldfrapp takes time out from touring and steps into Iggy Pop’s shoes, while he takes a summer holiday, to spin some of her favourite tracks for the 6 Music listeners’ pleasure.

Expect everything from soundtracks to synth to soul and beyond. Alison formed the electronic-based duo, Goldfrapp, in 1999 with fellow musician Will Gregory. Their 2000 debut album, Felt Mountain, went on to be nominated for the Mercury Prize. For their second album they moved away from their trip-hop sound and ventured into the world of glam-rock and synthpop which proved to be their major breakthrough. The duo released their sixth album, Tales Of Us, late last year on the legendary Mute record label.
