Home Turf
Monday 1 December, BBC iPlayer
Home Turf is a three part documentary series that will see Radio 1 take up-and-coming artists back to their hometowns to explore their influences, and capture a special performance on their home turf.
We start by taking a personal journey with Anne-Marie, ahead of a very special festival performance. We meet her amazing Grandad, find out about her karate prowess, and join her at V Festival.
We watch as a whirlwind summer for The Amazons ends with a hometown tour and a very special gig - finding out where it all began for Matt, Chris, Elliot and Joe on their Reading home turf.
The final show explores the background of Declan McKenna - where he comes from, his interests, and how his hometown - Cheshunt - influences his career. Through his family and his local community, we discover what he’s really like and what’s important to him.
