Re-live Asian Network’s biggest music event of the year.
Taking place at London’s Eventim Apollo on the last Saturday of April, Asian Network Live featured some of the biggest UK artists alongside exciting global Asian acts. Catch all the highlights from the star-studded line-up featuring Naughty Boy, Imran Khan Zack Knight, Raxstar, Jaz Dhami, Arjun and Bollywood’s Badshah, Kanika Kapoor and Aastha Gill.
The big surprise of the night came from Afro-beats pioneer FUSE ODG, who collaborated with rapper Badshah and R’n’B singer Zack Night to create new song, Bombae, which went on to become one of biggest songs of the year in the Official Asian Music Chart. The party starts at 2pm sharp!

Asian Network Comedy - Watford
Hosted by Tommy Sandhu (pictured) and recorded in front of a sell-out audience at the Watford Palace Theatre in January, this show looks back with highlights from the nearly naked chef Hardeep Singh Kohli; BBC Radio New Comedy finalist Sindhu Vee; the award-winning Ahir Shah and rising star Sheraz Yousaf.
This was the first of Asian Network's Comedy Night’s to take to the road in 2016, featuring hilarious performances from new and established acts on the comedy circuit.

Asian Network Comedy - Edinburgh
Hosted by Tommy Sandhu and recorded in front of a live audience, this highlights show features performances from award winning Australian stand up Nazeem Hussain, BBC Radio New Comedy Award finalist Sindhu Vee, the Hackney Empire New Comedian of the Year 2016 Bilal Zafar, Chortle Student Comedy Award 2016 finalist Rahul Kohli and the multi-talented comedian and one of the latest Asian Network presenter signings, Mawaan Rizwan.
Asian Network Comedy returned to Edinburgh for a fourth year in 2016 for the annual month of Fringe with another stellar line-up of cutting edge acts and fresh faced talent from across the festival.

Asian Network Comedy - Leicester
Asian Network took over the spectacular Curve Theatre in October for yet another night of laughs from some the nation’s biggest acts. Hosted by Tommy Sandhu and recorded in front of full-house, the show features Paul 'Sinnerman' Sinha from TV quiz show The Chase; the star of BBC Three’s Sunny D, Dane Baptiste; 2016 Piccadilly Comedian of the Year Eshaan Akbar and the acclaimed Hardeep Singh Kohli.

The Official Asian Music Chart Of The Year
As the inaugural year of the Official Asian Music Chart, having introduced streaming in its make-up, draws to a close, Suzi Mann looks back at a spectacular 12 months of the most popular UK and Global Asian music. Amongst the big moments of 2016, Asian Network celebrated a wave of resurgent British artists including Zayn, M.I.A and Zack Knight. It’s also been a big year for Bollywood film soundtracks such as Baar Baar Dekho, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Sultan and full of ever-present musical giants including Arijit Singh, Rahat Fateh and Shreya Goshal.

Asian Network Future Sounds Highlights
Re-wind to a very special Friday night in September when Asian Network celebrated some of the hottest emerging music talent at the legendary BBC Maida Vale studios. Performance highlights include singer songwriter Shide Boss, Canada’s hottest Punjabi rapper Fateh, sassy songstress Tasha Tah, critically acclaimed rappers Pak-Man and Shaker the Baker, former BBC introducing artist Leo Kalyan, Soul singer Anisa and one of Leeds’ hottest properties, Harris Hameed.
