Clare Balding will present Wimbledon 2day on BBC Two, rounding up all the best bits from the All England Club with an expert line-up of former tennis greats sharing their first-hand insight and tennis know-how. The new daily highlights programme will feature a live audience and celebrity guests who will consider all the latest news and hottest topics from what is sure to be an action-packed Championships.

There will be full coverage across BBC News with our team of network correspondents and Ore Oduba will guide News Channel viewers through each day’s play, culminating in Wimbledon Sportsday at 6.30pm.

A special documentary, Arthur Ashe: More Than A Tennis Champion, will broadcast on BBC Two (20:00) on Thursday 25 June, marking the 40th anniversary of Ashe lifting the Wimbledon men’s singles title. From boyhood in segregated America to becoming one of the world’s opinion-formers, Ashe’s story is told poignantly by his brother Johnnie, along with friends, Stan Smith, Donald Dell and rivals like Ilie Nastase. The documentary includes tennis greats, Serena Williams, Martina Navratilova, John McEnroe and Andy Murray who explain Arthur’s legacy and their own personal debt to the man.

Wimbledon Classics will return for 2015, as Sue Barker introduces highlights of some of the best tennis battles ever seen at SW19 on BBC Two. This year’s classic finals will include: Andy Murray’s attempt to end a 76-year wait for a British men’s singles title against Roger Federer in 2012, American sisters Venus and Serena Williams putting their sibling rivalry to the test in 2002 and Goran Ivanisevic and Patrick Rafter’s five-set thriller from 2001. There is also the 1977 final which saw Britain’s Virginia Wade looking to win her first Wimbledon singles title against the Netherlands’ Betty Stöve.
