Join Clare Balding, Russell Fuller and Eleanor Oldroyd on BBC Radio 5 live direct from Centre Court on Monday 23 June as Andy Murray prepares to defend his Wimbledon title.

Published: 3 June 2014

The trio will introduce the next 13 days of world-class tennis on Radio 5 live with daily coverage from 12:00 – 16:00/16:30*. On 28 and 30 June and 1 and 4 July coverage will cross to sports extra from 16:00/16:30 until the end of the day’s play. Listeners will be able to keep up with all the action – with score updates and latest news during the evening’s World Cup matches on 5 live.

Marion Bartoli, the reigning Wimbledon champion, and British number one Laura Robson join a stellar cast of expert commentators. They’ll be alongside Grand Slam champions Pat Cash, Goran Ivanisevic, Richard Krajicek, Martina Navratilova, Jana Novotna, Mary Pierce and legendary tennis coach Nick Bollettieri.

Patrick Mouratoglou, current coach of 17-time Grand Slam Champion Serena Williams, is new for 2014. He’ll be on hand to provide his perspective on this year’s competitors. Tracy Austin, Jeremy Bates, David Felgate, Frew McMillan, Jeff Tarango and Mark Woodforde complete 5 live’s line-up of tennis talent.

The build-up to the day’s tennis gets underway long before the players make their way onto the grass as Eleanor Oldroyd presents from Centre Court for 5 live Breakfast. She’ll have reaction from the previous day’s play, all the latest news and special guests. Eleanor will also present selected evening and weekend programmes from Wimbledon on 5 live.

Russell Fuller, 5 live’s tennis correspondent, provides commentary from the day’s most anticipated matches. Read Russell’s special Wimbledon blog here.

5 live will have reporters across all the courts and around the grounds. Russell's fellow commentators include David Law, Alison Mitchell, Iain Carter, Alastair Eykyn, Vassos Alexander, Philip Studd – and joining the team in 2014 – Gigi Salmon. Dot Davies and Karthi Gnanasegaram will be 5 live’s roving reporters as they capture the thoughts of the many tennis fans gathered around Wimbledon.

Returning for 2014 is the ever-popular 6-love-6 programme with John McEnroe. The three-time Wimbledon singles champion will be joined by special guests from the world of tennis and take calls from listeners; no doubt giving his candid view on the tennis issues of the day.

The 5 live website will be home to the best of the tennis action as 5 live In Short outlines the day at Wimbledon and is the place to watch 6-love-6 with John McEnroe live. Plus, all the latest interviews and must-see videos at bbc.co.uk/5live.
