Digital Wimbledon
BBC Sport will deliver the most comprehensive digital coverage of Wimbledon ever this year, building on the success of the London 2012 Olympics. Audiences can follow an unprecedented amount of action, wherever and whenever they want to, with up to 10 live streams and on-demand content available across four screens - PCs, tablets, mobiles and connected TVs.
Since last year’s tournament, BBC Sport has re-launched its new and improved mobile website and launched a brand new smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices. In addition, even more people are accessing BBC Sport’s digital content from connected TVs and through their desktop PCs and laptops.
Accessing content from PCs
Whether you’re at home or on your lunch-break at work, the BBC Sport website has all the latest news, features, analysis and live coverage from Wimbledon 2013. The BBC Sport video player will provide action from up to 10 live streams, highlights packages and clips from BBC Sport’s expert team of pundits. Video will be streamed in HD where possible, depending on your device and internet connection.
You’ll also find live text commentary and audio streams from BBC Radio 5 live, and can catch up on selected matches from the day’s play and the Today At Wimbledon highlights via BBC iPlayer, which will be available for seven days after broadcast.
Following the action on the go
With over half of all visits to BBC Sport coming from mobile devices at the weekends, we know how important it will be for audiences to keep up with the latest Wimbledon action from their mobiles and tablets. And it has never been easier with BBC Sport’s mobile website and smartphone applications for iPhone and Android.
Mobile content will mirror much of the desktop experience, including the 10 live video streams and highlights, and will cleverly adapt to fit your mobile screen. You can access the BBC Sport mobile website by visiting m.bbc.co.uk/sport from your mobile’s internet browser. The free BBC Sport app is available for iPhone users through the Apple App Store and Android users via Google Play.
Getting even more from your TV
Connected TVs (including internet-connected TVs, smart TVs and games consoles) are growing in popularity and if you have one of these sitting in your living room, you can either follow Wimbledon by accessing the BBC Sport app, where up to 10 live streams will be available, or catch-up on the best of our coverage in BBC iPlayer. Video will be streamed in HD where possible, depending on your device and internet connection.
Up to three streams will be available through the Red Button for viewers on cable and satellite (Freesat, Sky and Virgin Media) and Digital Terrestrial TV (BT Vision, Freeview or YouView).

A number of new social media innovations will also be launched during the course of the championship aimed at bringing the audience closer to the event than ever before.
