Presented by Chris Packham, Michaela Strachan, Martin Hughes-Games and Gillian Burke, this annual three-week wildlife extravaganza promises viewers fascinating and intimate encounters with some of the UK’s most loved animals.

Springwatch’s cameras will be positioned on key nature hotspots across the National Trust’s Sherborne Park Estate in rural Gloucestershire, allowing viewers to experience the behavior and intimate moments of these animals’ lives in a crucial season for all of them.

And this year, in a break with tradition, the Watches are going to stay at the same site throughout the whole year.

This means the team will be able to study a host of wildlife families and follow them as they negotiate our ever-changing seasons over the next 12 months, capturing the drama surrounding birth, survival, courtship and death that play out among our Sherborne animal characters.

Of course the team will also be covering the length and breadth of the country throughout the year, bringing live reports from near and far, as well as making short films that cover the full season and a huge variety of the animals that make these islands their home.
