These characters choose to work in these morbid fields of science, where they meet death up close and personal every day. Now that might strike some as unusual and I would tend to agree, but it’s also fascinating.

What is your most memorable moment since starting on the show?

My most memorable moment is still my introduction to the series when I enter the octagon to have a fight. You have no idea who this dude is until he turns up at the crime scene covered in cuts and bruises and you realise he's a Forensic Scientist. It was great stuff.

What’s been your favourite moment to film as Jack this series?

My favourite moment to film this series was any moment in the last episode Awakening. I loved it.

We see more of Clarissa’s personal life in this series. Do you hope we’ll get to see more of Jack’s at some point too?

Of course I hope we get to see more into Jack's life! That's why we do it. It’s all about the characters.

When Max turns up, does Jack worry that Clarissa could be lured away from the Lyell?

Yes, Jack worries a little when Max shows up. Max is very successful elsewhere in a high tech/spec forensic laboratory. He's also Clarissa's husband and has an incredibly strong bond with her. I think deep down though Jack knows she won't. They also have a special relationship.

What do you think is the secret to the shows continuing success?

The secret is there is no secret. We all love a mystery. It's thrilling to try to put the pieces of the puzzle together. Hopefully people like the characters and the situations in which they find themselves. These characters choose to work in these morbid fields of science, where they meet death up close and personal every day. Now that might strike some as unusual and I would tend to agree, but it’s also fascinating.
