"What I’d love to be able to get out of moving to Italy is this - to say I did this, I took a massive chance and I made it happen."

What I’d love to be able to say is, I did this, I took a massive chance and I made it happen.

The youngest member of the group, Rob manages a boutique hunting and fishing hotel in the Scottish Highlands, but feels unfulfilled and ready for a new challenge. Single and without children, he thinks it is time to follow his passion for Italian wines and good food by making a move abroad - so rural Tuscany could be the perfect location for his very own vineyard.
Rob has previously worked as a sommelier and has a level two qualification from the wine and spirit education trust. His father always had allotments, so Rob has good knowledge of how to grow his own fruit and vegetables.
In recent years Rob lost both of his parents; his sister currently lives in New Zealand. Having been born in Cyprus and grown up abroad, he has always longed for a return to life in the Mediterranean - and now that he has nothing left for him in the UK he thinks it is finally time to pursue that ambition.
