"I’ve seen things no one would want to see. The stress of the job caused my heart attack, and now I need to be less action man and more gardener. My Tuscan dream is to not have to listen to horror stories."

After a long career in the police force and following a recent health scare, Andy yearns for a new life in the countryside - one which involves much less stress. Andy, who is from Gloucestershire, spent 31 years as a police detective on the murder, kidnapping and anti human trafficking squad where he worked at New Scotland Yard and on his retirement from the police service, decided to become a freelance anti-trafficking consultant five years ago. But his work has taken its toll, and he would like to trade it in for a rural job.

Andy suffered a minor heart attack last summer, just four months before heading to Tuscany, which was a wake-up call to make a change. He would like to stay physically active in Tuscany and revisit his agricultural background - when he left school he worked on a farm driving tractors and picking vegetables, and comes from a family of farm labourers.

Andy is a father to two children but he lives alone since getting divorced 13 years ago. In Tuscany he is hoping to integrate with locals and embrace being part of a community, while finding ways of contributing to their local economy.
