Say Ciao! to the cast of BBC Two’s brand new documentary series Second Chance Summer: Tuscany

In a brand new six-part series from the makers of The Real Marigold Hotel, five men and five women arrive in Tuscany to see if their dream to make a new start in the Italian countryside can become a reality.

Published: 22 March 2017

In this introductory press pack, find out about the different skills, backgrounds, motivations and dreams that made each of them want to take part in this unique try-before-you-buy experience.

All at a crossroads in life, the group of singles must adjust to communal living, begin to learn the language and get to grips with life on the farm - set in La Banditaccia in the foothills of Mount Amiata. Tasked with running the estate by owner and local farmer Maurizio, this extraordinary location harbours many possibilities to make a completely new way of life with its vineyard, olive grove and space for a restaurant.

Over the seven week experience they’ll begin to realise their personal ambitions, from making wine to welcoming guests to a B&B - but will the dream of a new life in the sun prove to be everything they had hoped for?

Second Chance Summer: Tuscany starts on Wednesday 5 April at 9pm on BBC Two.
