Music Theatre, Swing & Sinatra
The greats of music theatre, jazz and swing are honoured across the Proms:

Grange Park Opera comes to the Proms for the first time with its production of the ground-breaking musical Fiddler on the Roof. David Charles Abell conducts a cast led by Bryn Terfel with the BBC Concert Orchestra (25 July)
Frank Sinatra’s 100th anniversary is marked in the first of two Proms from John Wilson and the John Wilson Orchestra, with vocalists including Seth MacFarlane giving their own interpretation of music from Sinatra’s time as a recording artist with Capitol Records (7 August)
After 2014’s popular Battle of the Bands Prom, chanteuse Clare Teal returns to present the Story of Swing, a night of music from two big bands led by trumpeter Guy Barker and trombonist Winston Rollins (11 August)
Celebrating Stephen Sondheim’s 85th birthday is a special Proms Chamber Music lunchtime cabaret concert at Cadogan Hall, created by and starring mezzo-soprano Kitty Whately and pianist Richard Sisson (17 August)
Proms regulars the John Wilson Orchestra dedicate the second of their two 2015 programmes to the music of Leonard Bernstein. Bernstein conducted great orchestras across the world as well as composing for the concert platform, whilst this programme recognises his contributions to the stage and screen, featuring excerpts from his well-loved West Side Story as well as his lesser-known Broadway scores (5 September)
