Solo Bach
Three internationally renowned soloists take to the Royal Albert Hall stage for a series of intimate Late Night performances of unaccompanied music by J. S. Bach.

• Violinist Alina Ibragimova gives two performances, showcasing Bach’s six Sonatas and Partitas (31 July & 1 August)
• Pianist Sir András Schiff performs Bach’s ‘Goldberg’ Variations (22 August)
• Cellist Yo-Yo Ma performs all six of Bach’s cello suites in a single concert (5 September)
Thierry Escaich also performs solo Bach works and improvisations on themes by Bach in his solo organ recital (23 August)
Other works by J. S. Bach in the season include the Violin Concerto in E major (15 August), Brandenburg Concerto No. 2 (21 August), Brandenburg Concerto No. 5 (15 August) and the Mass in G minor & Magnificat (21 August).
