Ten eclectic Late Night Proms present celebrations of the best music across a range of styles, from J.S. Bach to Scott Walker.

The ‘Godlike Genius’ Of Scott Walker (25 July)
The Heritage Orchestra and conductor Jules Buckley present the music of 1960s icon Scott Walker. His works are performed with a full live orchestra for the first time, featuring special guests including Jarvis Cocker (pictured) and John Grant.

Sir John Eliot Gardiner (above) - Schütz And J.S. Bach (2 August)
The Monteverdi Choir and English Baroque Soloists continue a sequence of concerts celebrating the 500th anniversary of the Reformation, exploring Bach’s Lutheran cantatas alongside psalm-settings by Heinrich Schütz.

Rachmaninov’s Vespers (13 August)
The Latvian Radio Choir with conductor Sigvards Kļava perform Rachmaninov’s All-Night Vigil (Vespers) - the last major work the composer completed before he left Russia in the wake of the 1917 Revolution.

Ravi Shankar And Philip Glass - Passages (15 August)
The Britten Sinfonia and conductor Karen Kamensek are joined by sitarist Anoushka Shankar (above) for the first complete live performance of Ravi Shankar and Philip Glass’s 1990 studio album, Passages.

Bang On A Can All-Stars (17 August)
Celebrating their 30th birthday, American artistic collective Bang on a Can presents their group of All-Stars, joined by the BBC Proms Youth Ensemble for a concert of boundary-breaking new music.

Classical Music Of India And Pakistan (25 August)
Marking the 70th anniversary of partition and independence on the Indian subcontinent, a host of leading exponents perform the music of North India, South India and Pakistan. This Prom is curated by the culture heritage trust Darbar.

Chineke! (30 August)
Chineke!, the UK’s first BME orchestra, makes its Proms debut with a concert featuring music by George Walker, Rimsky-Korsakov and the world premiere of a BBC commission by Hannah Kendall. 2016 BBC Young Musician winner Sheku Kanneh-Mason makes his Proms debut in music by Dvořák and in David Popper’s Hungarian Rhapsody.

The Sound Of Soul: Stax Records (1 September)
Jools Holland and His Rhythm and Blues Orchestra pay tribute to the Stax/Volt Revue, which first visited the UK 50 years ago and was known for its work championing the music of American funk, gospel and rhythm and blues.

Proms At… The Tanks At Tate Modern (6 September)
Sara Mohr-Pietsch and the London Contemporary Orchestra spotlight new and experimental music in a programme linked to Radio 3’s Open Ear series.

Sir András Schiff - J.S. Bach’s The Well-Tempered Clavier, Book One (7 September)
Bach-specialist Sir András Schiff begins a two-year project with a Late Night performance of J.S. Bach’s The Well-Tempered Clavier, Book One. He will return next year to perform Book Two.
