Cellist Alisa Weilerstein performs the UK premiere of Pascal Dusapin’s Outscape with the BBC Symphony Orchestra under the baton of her brother, conductor Joshua Weilerstein (19 July).

Isabelle Faust appears in two concerts - performing Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 3 (16 July) and Mendlessohn’s Violin Concerto In E minor (3 September).

World-class soprano Renée Fleming (pictured) joins conductor Sakari Oramo and the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra, making their Proms debut, to perform a programme including Barber’s Knoxville: Summer Of 1915 and the Transformation scene from Strauss’s opera Daphne (30 August).

All four of Rachmaniov’s Piano Concertos are performed during the season, by a host of acclaimed pianists - Kirill Gerstein (31 August), Behzod Abduraimov (17 July), Alexander Gavrylyuk (13 August) and Leif Ove Andsnes (29 August).

Sir András Schiff (above) presents Book One of J.S. Bach’s The Well-Tempered Clavier. He returns in 2018 with Book Two.

Vocalists Jarvis Cocker and John Grant join Jules Buckley and the Heritage Orchestra in a Late Night Prom celebrating The ‘Godlike Genius’ Of Scott Walker (25 July).
