Semi-final One - Tuesday 10 May, 8pm

The semi-finals make their debut on BBC Four this year, the home of music on TV in the UK.

In semi-final one, the first group of countries will compete for a place in Saturday’s Grand Final.

The 18 countries competing are: Finland, Greece, Moldova, Hungary, Croatia, The Netherlands, Armenia, San Marino, Russia, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Austria, Estonia, Azerbaijan, Montenegro, Iceland, Bosnia & Herzegovina and Malta.

Mel Giedroyc and Scott Mills will provide commentary live from The Globe Arena in Stockholm.

Semi-final two - Thursday 12 May, 8pm

The second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 will feature 18 different acts taking to the stage in the hope of securing a place in Saturday’s Grand Final.

Competing this evening are : Latvia, Poland, Switzerland, Israel, Belarus, Serbia, Ireland, F.Y.R. Macedonia, Lithuania, Australia, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Denmark, Ukraine, Norway, Georgia, Albania and Belgium.

Viewers in the United Kingdom are able to vote in this semi-final once all of the acts have performed. plus the show will also feature a special VT explaining the new voting procedure for the Grand Final on Saturday evening. TBC

Tonight’s semi-final will also feature a pre-recorded appearance from UK entry Joe and Jake, performing their song ‘You’re Not Alone’.
