What have I enjoyed? There’s not just one story, there are lots of little stories in between. Each of the characters has something going on.

Tell us about your character
Kayla is the daughter of Peter Green, Toby Jones’ character. She struggles with her identity a lot. She’s not quite happy where she is, but also doesn’t know what she wants to do. She doesn’t feel like she fits anywhere.

What’s her relationship with Peter like?
They don’t really listen to each other. They both have their own problems - and they are real problems - but both of them think that their problems are more important than the other’s. There’s some conflict there.

How do they react to the events that unfold?
They react in such a human and British way, especially to Rita’s arrival. No one really knows how to act or be around her. Everyone’s reactions are very honest and real. Kayla’s pretty unhappy about it. But she does start to see a connection to her and she relates to her… she sees something in Rita.

What is the relationship between Kayla and Brad?
Brad brings Kayla out of a slump. When she’s on her own she realises how sad she is. When she’s with Brad she doesn’t think about anything. Brad lifts her out of what she’s going through.

What have you enjoyed about Don’t Forget The Driver?
There’s not just one story, there are lots of little stories in between. Each of the characters has something going on. You read the script so many times and you think you understand what you’re saying, but then you go on set and do it with Toby and it completely goes out the window. He's so funny it’s hard not to corpse. It’s been great.
