Did you watch your episode?
I watched the episode, I was so nervous to see myself on TV performing. I’m my biggest critic. My family and friends loved watching it. The adrenaline in the room was mad.
Did you get to know your fellow finalists?
Yes, all us finalists have stayed in touch and have met up. We regularly talk on a WhatsApp group too.
Song you chose for the final?
Purple Rain - Prince
Why?
It’s a song I’ve never sung before in public, or at all, but have always wanted to, so I wanted to give myself a challenge and see what I could do with it.
How did you feel backstage?
I was buzzing, nervous, just wanted to give my best performance.
What was the atmosphere like when you walked out?
My heart was beating so fast. They’d already seen us so knew what we could do and I didn’t want to disappoint them after setting the bar so high before.
What is your favourite all time song and/or artist?
My favourite artist is Whitney Houston and her all time classic I Will Always Love You. The song travels through so many emotions and you can always hear the passion she had in her songs. She never gives less than 110%.
