BBC News Russian adds weekly sports and news podcasts to its offer
BBC News Russian is expanding its digital offer with the two weekly podcasts: the sports series, Razgovory s arbitrom (Talking With The Referee) and the news roundup, Chto eto bylo? (What Was It All About?)

The new podcasts showcase some of BBC News Russian’s best young journalists. As we reach out to new audiences in Russia and beyond, they bring new energy to our output with their talent and expertise.
Razgovory s arbitrom is now live on BBC News Russian website bbc.com/russian and is available via Apple Podcasts, Overcast and Yandex.Music, the messenger app Telegram, the social networks VKontakte, OK.ru and other platforms. Listeners in the UK can access the podcast via BBC Sounds.
Presented by BBC News Russian’s Yelizaveta Fokht, Viktor Nekhezin and Vsevolod Boyko, the light-hearted podcast is all about sports - its drama, emotions and unexpected twists and turns, the favourites’ mistakes and the underdogs’ successes. Yelizaveta and Viktor will be 'refereed' by Vsevolod as they argue their points about the week’s most dramatic and controversial events. The podcast will also bring insights from top BBC Sports experts.
Launching on Saturday 20 April, Chto eto bylo? brings to the fore the past week’s most important news story, using facts and impartial analysis to dissect key elements, explain its importance and assess its impact.
Vsevolod Boyko, who produces both podcasts, says: “These two new titles are tailor-made for our ever growing audience which use digital audio content on the go, whether they are cooking, jogging or commuting. We will do our best to make our concise and dynamic podcasts part of their week.”
