One Day That Changed My Life, narrated by Jo Joyner, will capture emotional and dramatic days in people’s real lives. Five episodes stripped across the week - with up to four stories per episode - will follow life-changing events including a significant job interview, a pregnancy test, a wedding proposal and even a DNA test.

Operation NHS Fraud will go behind the frontline in the NHS to the hidden world of the counter fraud investigators. It’s their job to catch and prosecute the cheats, liars and fraudsters who try to rip-off the NHS - from the inside. With exclusive access to the investigators of the NHS Counter Fraud Authority, the series will follow their cases from tip-off to conviction.

In Home Front Heroes, to be stripped across the week leading up to Remembrance Sunday 2018, the work of the hundreds of thousands of ordinary men and women who did their bit to help Britain win the war will be commemorated. Five famous faces including Sue Johnston, Larry Lamb, Radzi Chinyanganya, Tanni Grey-Thompson and Helen Lederer will relive the wartime experiences of a close family member.

In Payback Time For Frontline Crime the remarkable bravery and dedication of police officers, paramedics and firefighters who are attacked in the line of duty and return to work will be documented. The series will show the terrifying moments that changed the lives of these public service champions and follow the police as they track down and lock up the criminals responsible.

Finally, in Make Me A Dealer, presented by Paul Martin, wannabe antique and collectible dealers will be given the chance to learn the tricks of the trade. In each show two amateur enthusiasts compete against each other to buy anything they see at auction and sell it for the highest price.

Dan McGolpin says: “Original factual programming is the foundation of the BBC One daytime schedule and with these new commissions we have something for everyone.”

Operation NHS Fraud

BBC One, (5x45’), mornings

This brand new series goes behind the frontline in the NHS, to the hidden world of the counter fraud investigators. It’s their job to catch and prosecute the cheats, liars and fraudsters who try to rip-off the NHS - from the inside. Fraud committed by staff, patients and contractors is now estimated to be costing the health service £1.25 billion a year, at a time money is tighter than ever in the NHS. With exclusive access to the investigators of the NHS Counter Fraud Authority, the series will follow their cases from tip-off to conviction.

Each episode will feature three stories, told by the investigators at the heart of the case. We’ll see them working alongside the police and the CPS to issue warrants, carry out raids and bring those responsible to justice. Cases range from expenses scams, large-scale fraud involving contractors, staff and patients selling NHS equipment or dealing drugs, and even, ironically, sickness fraud.

The series will also get to know the investigators themselves, to hear how protecting the public purse drives everything they do. These are passionate advocates of the NHS, who dedicated themselves to making sure every penny of NHS funds stays in the health service.

Operation: NHS Fraud is produced by Brown Bob. The Executive Producer is Jacqueline Hewer. The BBC Commissioning Editor is Lindsay Bradbury

Home Front Heroes

BBC One, (5x45'), mornings

The Home Front was vital to Britain’s wartime victory. The First and Second World Wars were won not just in the air or on the battlefields, but in unexpected places right across Britain; from hospitals to munitions factories, allotments to sewing stations, air raid shelters to boot makers.

Everyone played their part.

In this inspiring series, stripped in the week leading up to Remembrance Sunday 2018, BBC One commemorates the work of the hundreds of thousands of ordinary men and women who did their bit to help Britain win the war, often turning their hand to jobs they could never previously have imagined themselves doing.

Five famous faces including Sue Johnston (pictured above), Larry Lamb, Radzi Chinyanganya, Tanni Grey-Thompson and Helen Lederer will relive the wartime experiences of a close family member, discovering just how significant their contributions really were. Along the way, they’ll meet people whose lives were transformed by what happened on the Home Front, as well as some of those today performing very similar roles as their relatives did back in the war.

Home Front Heroes is a BBC Studios production. The Executive Producer is Rob Unsworth. The BBC Commissioning Editor is Carla-Maria Lawson.

Payback Time For Frontline Crime

BBC One, (10x45’), mornings

Every year in the UK, thousands of police officers, paramedics and firefighters are attacked and injured in the line of duty. Wounded and traumatised, frontline fighters are stopped from doing what they do best: protecting the public.

Payback Time For Frontline Crime celebrates the remarkable bravery and dedication of those determined to do their duty and get back on the beat - and shows how the criminals who hurt our heroes are brought to justice.

The series will show the terrifying moments that changed the lives of these public service champions and follow the police as they track down and lock up the criminal villains responsible. So in each episode, as the heroes bravely report back for duty, their attackers are caught and sentenced.

With exclusive access to the specialised treatment centres that care for injured emergency service workers, the series follows the road to recovery including the emotional return to duty. And it is a celebration of this desire to serve the public again that is at the heart of the series.

Payback Time For Frontline Crime is produced by Reef. The Executive Producer is Rachel Platt. The BBC Commissioning Editor is Lindsay Bradbury
