Wales Women's Six Nations game against England makes history with live BBC Wales broadcast
For the first time ever, Wales Women’s rugby will be broadcast live on BBC Wales, as the Welsh team face England Women in the Six Nations tournament.

BBC Wales will provide live TV and online coverage with highlights, interviews and analysis... It will be fascinating to plot the progress of the squad
Live on BBC Two Wales from 11.20am and available on bbc.co.uk/wales/sport there will also be updates on BBC Radio Wales and BBC Radio Cymru.
Geoff Williams, Head of Sport, says: “Over the course of the Six Nations Women’s tournament, BBC Wales will provide live TV and online coverage with highlights, interviews and analysis throughout every step of the competition.
“It will be fascinating to plot the progress of the squad. Following last Saturday’s opening win in the tournament, away to Italy, we will all be looking forward to seeing whether Wales can make it two wins out of two.”
Rugby fans can also get live scores on the BBC Sport app and every Sunday night throughout the tournament, BBC Two will show a highlights programme of all the Six Nations Women’s games.
Ahead of this Saturday’s action, Wales Women: Inside The Scrum follows the team from the moment the Six Nations squad is unveiled, preparing for Saturday’s first Six Nations away game against Italy where they won, right up to the final preparations for their home match against England.
Broadcast Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC Two Wales, the one-off documentary shows the women as they battle for a coveted place on the team, training hard under the watchful eye of former Welsh and Lions player Rowland Phillips. Viewers will also see a glimpse into their home lives - with a diverse range of careers under their belts from teachers and stay at home mothers to business women, it’s a massive juggling act. The programme is produced by Orchard for BBC Wales.
In another first, this week’s Wales Netball’s two friendlies against New Zealand’s Silver Ferns are available live on BBC Wales. Today’s first international is live on the Red Button, bbc.co.uk/wales/sport and on Radio Wales, and will also be available on BBC iPlayer. Tomorrow’s game is live on bbc.co.uk/wales/sport, and will later be available on BBC iPlayer.
