It's fantastic that we’re going to celebrate 25 years of making this show with a special one off event, where all of the workings of the Later experience will be transported into the Royal Albert Hall!
— Jools Holland

Featuring a typically eclectic blend of signature artists including major stars, legends, artists of the moment and brand new talent across genres from rock 'n' roll to jazz and all points in between, this multi-artist show will be filmed in the round, filling the Hall's main stage and floor with artists, in the style of the Later... studio as seen on TV.

See the Later... experience as normally enjoyed by a few in the television studio now laid bare in the bowl of the Royal Albert Hall. For one night only, this magical musical mystery tour, with a special line-up to be announced at a later date, will celebrate Later... with Jools Holland's commitment to all manner of musicians and music that matters. The show will feature ten artists, old friends of the show and some new ones!

The Later 25 show will be broadcast in September on BBC Two.

Jools Holland says: "It's fantastic that we’re going to celebrate 25 years of making this show with a special one off event, where all of the workings of the Later experience will be transported into the Royal Albert Hall!"

Mark Cooper, Head of Music Television, BBC Studios says: "Every edition of Later... With Jools Holland is an event, artist following artist, Jools and camera crew moving from stage to stage, the whole bigger than the sum of its parts. So to bring that experience to the grand intimacy and magical bowl that is the Royal Albert Hall should be a mega-event. We'll have done around 360 shows by the time we get to the Albert Hall so it's only appropriate to film a great mix of artists there in 360 degrees."

Jan Younghusband, Head of Music Television, BBC Music says: “BBC Music is delighted to celebrate 25 years of Later… With Jools Holland with a special event for fans. The programme, and of course the brilliant Jools Holland himself, has brought so much great music-making to generations of our audiences, and I’d like to thank the hundreds of musicians who have taken part in the programmes over the years.”
