BBC Two wins five Grierson Awards, with BBC winning a total of seven
The BBC dominated at last night’s Grierson Awards ceremony, which celebrates the best in documentary making, with BBC Two winning five awards and the BBC winning seven awards in total.

BBC Two won awards for documentaries Muslims Like Us; Hillsborough; Paula Rego: Secrets And Stories; Exodus: Our Journey To Europe (pictured); and Wild Ireland: The Edge Of The World, while BBC One won Best Science Documentary for Forces Of Nature With Brian Cox.
BBC Arabic won the award for Best Current Affairs Documentary with Goodbye Aleppo.
BBC Four was highly commended for Aberfan: The Green Hollow and Last Days Of Solitary.
Alastair Fothergill won the BBC Grierson Trustees’ Award in recognition of his contribution to the natural history genre, which through his enduring partnership with David Attenborough on programmes such as Blue Planet, Frozen Planet and The Hunt has created some of the most memorable television moments of all time.
