Ricky Gervais is to take part in this year’s BBC Children in Need Appeal Show as David Brent
Ricky will perform the title track from the film David Brent: Life On The Road which was released earlier this year and was written, directed, produced by and starred Ricky.

The Children in Need Appeal Show is over the moon to welcome mega star David Brent to sing his heart out and help raise money for disadvantaged children

Ricky joins a stellar line up of famous faces for the Appeal Show, including a special sketch featuring Eddie Redmayne, a spectacular performance from the EastEnders cast, a Would I Lie To You? special edition with Rob Brydon, Lee Mack and David Mitchell, athletes from Team GB taking part in the Strictly Children in Need Special, superstar Michael Buble who has recorded a very special performance for the show and pop princesses Little Mix.
The BBC Children In Need 2016 presenters are Tess Daly, Greg James, Graham Norton, Ade Adepitan, Rochelle and Marvin Humes. The show goes out on BBC One and BBC Two on Friday 18 November at 7.30pm.
