The documentaries will follow Gareth as he holds auditions and finally selects his choir. We will watch their rehearsals and the musical tasks as part of the build-up to the Invictus Games.

Gareth Malone says: “I hope that this choir will give its members a real and lasting pride. We want to tell their stories and celebrate their achievements. It’s a huge responsibility but I’m looking forward to the challenge.”

The series will broadcast later this year on BBC One. It is made by Twenty Twenty and the executive producers are Tim Carter and Michele Kurland, and the series producer is Matt Smith.
