We have driven down costs and made significant management savings so more than 90 per cent of the money we control is spent on what matters most – the content and services our audiences love.
Today’s publication is part of the BBC’s continued commitment to be transparent in how it is spending the licence fee, and is the 24th disclosure of its kind.
The latest quarterly expenses for the period are available here.
A BBC spokesperson said: “We have announced a series of proposals to further tighten up our rules around expenses claims, as part of plans to create a simpler, more efficient BBC. We are committed to ensuring maximum value from the licence fee, and overall we have driven down costs and made significant management savings so more than 90 per cent of the money we control is spent on what matters most – the content and services our audiences love."
