22 Nominations for BBC Drama in the 68th Primetime Emmy Awards

BBC Drama has three nominations in the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Movie category for Benedict Cumberbatch playing Sherlock Holmes in Sherlock: The Abominable Bride (BBC One), Idris Elba playing John Luther in Luther (BBC One) and Tom Hiddleston playing Jonathan Pine in The Night Manager (BBC One).

The Night Manager (BBC One) also received further nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actor in Limited Series or Movie category, Hugh Laurie playing Richard Roper, Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or Movie, Olivia Colman playing Angela Burr and for Outstanding Limited Series. Both Luther and Sherlock: The Abominable Bride received further nominations for Outstanding Television Movie.

• One nomination for Outstanding Directing for a Limited Series, Movie or Drama Special for The Night Manager – Susanne Bier, Director.
• Two nominations for Outstanding Music Composition for a Limited Series, Movie or Special (Original Dramatic Score) for The Night Manager, Episode Two with music by Victor Reyes and War & Peace, Part 1 with music by Martin Phipps.
• One nomination for Outstanding Casting for a Limited Series, Movie or Special for The Night Manager, Casting Director Jina Jay, CSA.
• Two nominations for Outstanding Sound Editing for a Limited Series, Movie or Special for Sherlock: The Abominable Bride and The Night Manager Episode Five.
• One nomination for Outstanding Main Title Design for The Night Manager.
• One nomination for Outstanding Original Main Title Theme Music for The Night Manager theme by Victor Reyes.
• Two nominations for Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Limited Series or Movie for Sherlock: The Abominable Bride and The Night Manager Episode Five.
• One nomination for Outstanding Writing for a Limited Series, Movie or Dramatic Special for The Night Manager writer David Farr.
