"It’s also a real chance to celebrate the support and nurturing that only BBC Radio 1Xtra can give to up-and-coming niche artists to allow them to develop themselves into the mainstream influencing international stars so many previous Hot For artists have become.”

Bryson Tiller says: "I feel great about being included on 1Xtras 'Hot For 2016' list. A lot of great artists have graced this list and I'm honoured to be a part of it.”

Kehlani says: “I’m honoured to be included in the Hot For 2016, it’s unreal and I hope to build even stronger relationships at the BBC. Much love to the UK!”
