BBC confirms commitment to local football - around 2,500 games covered across 15/16 season
The BBC will be broadcasting from around 2,500 football matches across England this season as the Corporation confirms its commitment to delivering live commentary to fans across the regions each week.

Our commentators will be traveling the length and breadth of the country to cover those teams battling it out at the very top of the Premier League to those struggling to get out of the National Leagues South and North.
In several major cities, including Birmingham and Liverpool, the BBC will be the only local radio station providing commentary of this season’s matches.
Charles Runcie, BBC Head of Sport for the English Regions, says: “Whether you’re a fan of Manchester City or Worcester City, the BBC's local radio stations will continue to provide you with commentary on all of your team’s top games. Our commentators will be traveling the length and breadth of the country to cover those teams battling it out at the very top of the Premier League to those struggling to get out of the National Leagues South and North.
“The BBC remains committed to getting supporters to the very heart of the action. This is even more important when fans in some parts of the country are finding it increasingly difficult to follow their team on the radio.”
Across the season, the BBC’s network of 39 local radio stations across England will deliver live commentary from matches involving 90 clubs each week, along with news, phone-ins and preview shows.
