The Olympic motto has been embodied once again, with thousands of athletes across 32 sports striving to be faster, higher or stronger and, in doing so, bringing people together.

Clare will hand to Hazel Irvine and Andrew Cotter for the closing ceremony at the Stade de France as spectators, artists and athletes celebrate the greatest show on earth.

You can watch live on Sunday 11 August from 7pm on BBC One, BBC iPlayer, BBC Sport Online and BBC Red Button.  Subtitles and live audio description will be available on BBC One.  A signed version of the Opening Ceremony will be available on BBC Red Button 1 HD and BBC iPlayer.
