In an exclusive performance for Comic Relief: Funny for Money, acclaimed artists Calum Scott and Blessing Offor will each give viewers heartfelt performances on this year’s Red Nose Day.

10 years on from the release of his Platinum certified version of Robyn's hit ‘Dancing on My Own’, which went onto sell over a million copies in the UK, Calum Scott will be performing the song in an exclusive performance on Red Nose Day alongside heartfelt and deeply moving appeal films. Also, celebrated singer/songwriter and two-time Grammy nominee, Blessing Offor, will take to the Red Nose Day stage with a performance of his song ‘Somebody’s Child’. Blessing Offor is known for his blend of pop, Motown and soul, featuring hopeful lyrics inspired by his journey with blindness.

But there are more musical offerings to be had this Red Nose Day, as four of the UK’s most exciting digital creators are ditching ring lights for stage lights and taking on a challenge that hits all the right notes. Ayame, Sarel, Specs Gonzalez and Victor Kunda are forming a real band - rehearsing, harmonising, and (attempting to) stay in time as they prepare for a one night only live performance of Raye’s smash-hit and vocally demanding song, ‘Where Is My Husband!’ on Comic Relief: Funny For Money. With just two weeks to learn the song, tackle choreography and pull together a full performance, The Creator Band are racing against time before the big night. You can follow the highs, lows and everything in between in Comic Relief’s brand-new YouTube series, packed with vocal coaching, choreography bootcamp and some very special surprise guests.

Also, catch what is sure to be one of the most memorable musical performances in Red Nose Day history when Nan, played by Catherine Tate, sees double (or quadruple) in a hilarious opening number.

Calum Scott says: “I am honoured to be soundtracking such a poignant moment on Comic Relief this year and even more special that this year marks 10 years since I released my version of this song. I vividly remember Sir Lenny Henry presenting Comic Relief growing up and being in awe of just how generous our country is when it comes to people in need in the UK and across the world. I am sure people will be wearing their Red Noses with pride again this year.”

Blessing Offor says: “Art is at its best when it’s in service of a greater good. I’m honoured to lend my voice to Comic Relief and grateful for the opportunity to perform in the UK once again.”

Comic Relief: Funny for Money is live from MediaCityUK in Salford on BBC iPlayer and BBC One on Friday 20 March from 7pm, and for the very first time, live streamed simultaneously on the official BBC YouTube channel. Comic Relief: Funny for Money is made by BBC Studios Entertainment Productions.

The money raised this Red Nose Day will help people access food, shelter and safety– the vital essentials everyone needs to survive.
