Summary
In 2018, BBC Media Action ran a project with Unicef aiming to increase understanding and uptake of maternal and child health (MNCH) services in two regions of Tanzania: Mbeya and Songwe. People exposed to our radio magazine programme, Tusafiri Pamoja ('we travel together'), public service announcements (PSAs) and Community Live Events (CLEs) credited them with increasing their knowledge and understanding of MNCH issues and services and empowering them to discuss MNCH issues with others.
