Up to 20,000 Manchester United fans made the trip to the Russian capital to watch their side take on Chelsea in the Champions League Final.

But they had to wait until the wee small hours of a Moscow morning before United finally emerged victorious in the Luzhniki stadium, winning 6-5 in a nail-biting penalty shoot-out.

Red Square rocked and after the exodus from Manchester Airport a few days earlier, thousands of supporters began the long journey home.
