The cow, known as Doctor Moolittle, is part of Manchester's Cow Parade which runs from 14 June to 12 September.
The plan is to put the cow on the BBC GMR Bus as it travels around the area so that visitors can help decorate it and leave special messages.
But that all hung on whether or not the cow would actually fit on the bus.
