Each year the Make a Difference Awards has eight categories. As the awards have evolved, some categories have been removed and replaced.

The Key Worker Award
The Key Worker Award was a category in 2022.
The Environmental Award
This category was called the Environmental Award in 2022 and later became known as the Green Award.
The Together Award
We ran the Together Award in 2022 and 2023.
The Bravery Award
We had this category in 2023 and 2024.
The Carer Award
The Carer Award was a category from 2022 - 2024.
