The Editorial Guidelines set the BBC's editorial values and standards. The guidelines apply to all BBC content wherever in the world it is broadcast or published.
BBC News Style Guide
The BBC News style guide details many of the rules of spelling, punctuation and grammar that would be equally applicable to the majority of news organisations across the UK. It also covers accuracy, fairness and impartiality. The Oxford English Dictionary is otherwise the preferred reference point for BBC News employees.
